Portfolio Director for College Success, Michael & Susan Dell Foundation
Todd oversees the U.S. Education team’s College Preparation & Completion portfolio, which supports organizations across the country that work to increase the numbers of low-income students who are ready for, enrolling in, and finishing college with a bachelor’s degree. He also oversees the Dell Scholars Program, an in-house college completion program that provides support services and a $20,000 scholarship to an annual cohort of 500 students.
Prior to joining the foundation in May 2008, Todd spent 13 years at Dell Inc. in various marketing and support positions, his last being Director of Worldwide e-Support. Before Dell, he worked with Exxon Chemical Company and Deloitte Haskins & Sells. Todd has a bachelor’s in business administration in accounting from the University of Texas at Austin and a master’s of business administration in finance from the University of Michigan. Todd is currently a board member at College Forward, an Austin-based nonprofit that coaches underserved, motivated students to achieve the benefits of higher education and a college degree, and also serves on the board of CollegeSpring, a San Francisco-based nonprofit that helps students from low-income backgrounds boost SAT scores, navigate college admissions and financial aid, and confidently pursue college degrees.
